The Illinois Society for the Prevention of Blindness (ISPB) was founded in 1916 to reduce preventable causes of blindness. Dedicated to the care, protection and preservation of sight, ISPB has a rich history of promoting vision and eye health in the state of Illinois. ISPB and Prevent Blindness Illinois partner to provide sight-saving programs for children and adults of all ages through education, advocacy, early detection, grants for low vision equipment, funding for children’s replacement glasses, and research.
